RGNCY-0017 (SGSM41 - Secretase Modulator)
SGSM41 is an aminothiazole-bridged heterocycle-containing soluble c-secretase modulator (SGSM). It potently inhibits the production of toxic Ab42 (IC50 = 115nM ) and to a lesser degree Ab40 (IC50 = 1229nM), while concomitantly increasing the generation of shorter amyloid-β peptide species such as Ab38 and Ab37. This is a useful tool in the study of Alzheimer’s disease.
Systematic Name: N-(2-ethyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-2H-indazol-3-yl)-4-(3-methoxy-4-(4-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)phenyl)thiazol-2-amine
