Phosphospecific polyclonal antibody against hnRNPK/Y32

hnRNP K is a heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) and a key pre-mRNA-binding protein with a high affinity for polyC sequences. It plays a critical role in p53/TP53 response to DNA damage. hnRNP K is also involved in p21/CDKN1A and 14-3-3 sigma/SFN induction. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been observed. The hnRNPs regulate mRNA metabolism, including stability and splicing. Tyrosine phosphorylation of hnRNPK is known to regulate binding of specific mRNAs. The interaction of hnRNP K with long intergenic RNA p21 is required for the induction of apoptosis.
